Meditating Together: Weekly Practice
For Cancer Patients, Survivors, and Their Caregivers
Held at Gilda's Club Seattle
Thursdays at 3:00-4:30 PM, Starting September 24, 2009
Meditation can help us simply relax, and sometimes it can help us to
more deeply appreciate what is in our lives—the “good” and the
“bad.” Meditation traditions have been developed in all the major
religions and in modern psychology. Join us for a weekly meeting to
enjoy the support of meditating with others, to sample new
meditation forms or find new ways to engage with the form you know.
Each week we will begin with a brief introduction, have a period of
meditation, and finish with questions and answers. Our teacher is
Lee Shields, MS, MA, who has practiced Zen meditation for more than
30 Years and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Seattle.
